PECO SAFETY CLIP - BS EN 795

Safe working at height - Attach quickly and easily with the Peco Safety Clip and Stud.

This new innovative patented product is certified to BS EN 795:1997 covering Personal Protective Equipment and Anchor devices for protection against falls from a height. The clip is manufactured on site and independently tested to meet the stringent requirements for Fall Arrest systems and devices. It's design allows immediate visible confirmation of a secure attachment and 360º swivel, both significant advantages over other products on the market.

Simple clean lines of the stud in the wall

Peco Safety Clip Stud Buildings do not need to have expensive ugly safety rings attached to the wall as an anchor device.

The cost effective Peco Safety Clip's Stud is low profile and fits almost any situation. It has been designed to allow it to be retro-fitted into existing sockets which have already been installed for use with other types of safety anchor points, such as eyebolts. For internal use a clear shield can be supplied to protect decor. Made from Stainless steel it will not degrade with use.

Peco Safety Clip sideUSER INFORMATION

Although the Peco Safety Clip has been independently tested to withstand loadings far in excess of the required levels, the relevant standards states “Anchor devices are only to be used with CE marked fall arrest systems, which will not generate forces in excess of 6kN at the anchor device.

The position of the anchor point should be as high as possible vertically above the work position to minimise the distance of fall and reduce the pendulum effect. Only competent persons should fix anchor devices. The viability of any installation should be verifiable by a qualified engineer.

Operators can easily visibly ensure the connecting clip is correctly connected to the safety stud before weight is applied by checking that the locking disc has sprung into place.

The equipment should be withdrawn from use immediately should there be any doubt about its safe use or it has been used to arrest a fall. It should not be used again until confirmed in writing by a competent person that it is acceptable to do so.

The equipment must not be used outside its limitations, or for any purpose other than its intended use. Full detailed specifications lower down.

Peco Safety Clip front The equipment should not be altered in anyway and any repairs must be carried out in line with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Users should assess any dangers that might arise by the use of combinations of items of equipment in which the safe function of any one item is affected by or interferes with the safe function of another.

Prior to use of fall arrest system it is essential for safety to verify the space required beneath the user so that in case of a fall there is no collision with the ground or other obstacles.

If the user has any medical condition or is taking medication that could affect the safe usage of the equipment, they should seek medical advice before using the equipment.

The equipment must only be used by appropriately trained and competent people.

Care must be taken to ensure the compatibility of all items of equipment that are to be connected to the safety stud for example use only connectors complying with EN 362:2002 and harnesses complying with EN 361-EN358 etc
